Museum makes history for the small screen

The Craigleith Heritage Depot has produced three short films to capture the local history in the Town of The Blue Mountains. Each film gives a quick visual tour covering Indigenous History, The Apple Industry and The Ski Industry. Locally based Mountain Goat Film Company collaborated with the museum to produce these films, which feature the museum artifact collection along with interviews from community members near and far. The entire project was funded by individual donations which were overseen by the Craigleith Heritage Depot Museum Advisory Committee, assisted by the Blue Mountain Watershed Trust Foundation. The premiere was held at the Town Hall in Thornbury, on January 27th, where all three films were presented by the film makers and the staff of the Craigleith Heritage Depot.
