Soldiers in Wasaga Beach

Representatives of the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery, 2nd Canadian Mechanized Brigade, were formally welcomed to Wasaga Beach on October 12th by Mayor Brian Smith and fellow members of town council during a flag-raising ceremony at town hall. Members of the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery were making their way from Petawawa to CFB Borden for a training exercise. This is advance training prior to a deployment in Europe in the spring. These troops will be deployed to Latvia in February, as part of an ongoing NATO mission to keep peace and stability in Eastern Europe.
