New home for the Wasaga Food Bank

Each month the Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank provides assistance to more than 120 local families. Having recently  moved to 818 Mosley Street, Unit 2, the new location now occupies about five thousand square feet beside the post office. On November 2nd at the ribbon cutting ceremony, Mayor Brian Smith gave a cheque for $4,229. The funds were raised in August during the Mayor’s Golf Challenge at Marlwood Golf and Country Club.  “I encourage all residents to remember the food bank and the needed service it provides in our town,” Smith said. “If we all give a little, it can really make a big difference. I also want to thank the volunteers who support the food bank. Your efforts are truly commendable.”
