Clearview Public Library in Stayner hosted its Grand Opening ceremony on May 14th. It was a wonderful community event with a military tank, Clearview fire trucks, mini-wooden airplanes to drive and costumed Star Wars characters. Clearview Mayor Doug Measures, Architect Luc Bouliane and library staff cut the ribbon to allow people inside this architectural wonder. Luc said: We thought about how to create a space that generated the best light for the library’s needs. Our design won the Best in Ontario architectural award. Inside, the building was busy with tours, a used book sale, free ice cream and a local artist who was painting. The futuristic design and functionality of the library make it one of the most inspiring public buildings in Clearview.
