The Creemore BIA invited families and friends to celebrate Summer Solstice on Mill Street on June 24th. Folks brought their cutlery and enjoyed a community picnic by visiting the shops and restaurants and enjoying a cash bar on the street. Kids made sustainable crafts, floral crowns and took part in a fairy hunt. Musical vibes were provided by local musicians as well as an Indigenous Drummer and Storyteller. It was a magical evening to celebrate the beginning of summer. “The BIA is delighted to see an end to pandemic measures and welcome everyone back to our community. Our community has been so supportive in shopping and dining locally over the past two years that this is a great way to thank them,” said Laurie Severn, BIA President.
