Clarksburg and Thornbury are two close-knit communities in The Town of the Blue Mountains. To celebrate Canada Day, people in Clarksburg enjoyed a pancake breakfast at the Legion, a cruise-by from The Georgian Bay British Car Club and the band Bored of Education played on stage. Then, at 11 am, led by The Beaver Valley Pipes and Drums, a colourful Canada Day Parade with floats, vintage cars, bicycles, music and walkers made its way to King Street for people to enjoy Thornbury . After the parade, folks listened to the band Hwy 26 and enjoyed Rotary Club hot dogs and birthday cake.
