Creemore, known as a cycling mecca to those on the two-wheel circuit, played host to participants at the annual ride supporting The Great Lakes Waterfront Trail (a signature project of the Waterfront Regeneration Trust). This year’s ride, a six-day 500 km journey, featured Georgian Bay and Lake Huron and followed the coastline (where possible) through 26 communities in Simcoe, Grey, and Bruce counties. On Friday August 6th, cyclists were invited to an optional 70 km loop from Blue through Creemore. They were welcomed at Mad River Park by Clearview Township and Cycle Simcoe and had the opportunity to rest, relax and sample some cold beer courtesy of Creemore Springs Brewery.
