The Great Waterfront Trail Adventure (GWTA) is an annual, supported, multi-day cycle tour and awareness ride to promote the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail and the communities that support the trail. Cyclists felt the wind, water, and earth, from Midland to Meaford, peddling to local wineries, craft breweries, hidden treasures, and unique neighbourhoods. Some cyclists chose to stay overnight and have their bags forwarded to the next stop. On August 12th, the Collingwood rest stop was Sunset Point, where Summit Social House provided complementary iced coffee. Acting Deputy Mayor of Collingwood, Mariane McCleod, was on hand to cheerfully greet the cyclists as they arrived.
