(News Release) Enbridge Gas is helping the Wasaga Beach Fire Department purchase firefighting training materials, through Project Assist–a program that supplements existing training for Ontario volunteer and composite fire departments in the communities where Enbridge operates. The Wasaga Beach Fire Department is responsible for the provision of fire and emergency response services on land and water, ongoing fire prevention and public education programs, free home escape plan consultations, 

safety inspections, residential and commercial inspections, emergency planning and active participation throughout the community and schools during Fire Prevention Week and Emergency Preparedness Week. The department has a full-time chief, full-time deputy-chief, and 20 full-time firefighters, as well as 16 volunteer firefighters. These firefighters work from two stations in the community.
